The following is a list of grants from other organizations intended to help special needs people and their families with non-medical, non- education-related expenses. The list is updated as we are made aware of changes, so please check the granting sources web site for the most current grant opportunities and application process.
Financial Support Awards provide financial relief up to $1,000 for individuals with ASD and their families to help cover costs associated with critical living expenses such as housing, utilities, car repair, funeral expenses, and other essential items on a case-by-case basis.
Individuals medically diagnosed with ASD and their family members who have experienced at least one of the following qualifying events in the last 90 days are eligibly to apply:
- Natural disaster: fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, severe storm or earthquake
- Death or critical illness in the immediate family
- Loss of home through foreclosure, eviction or natural disaster
- Termination of employment for the primary income-earner

This award is given for demonstration of unusual dedication or effort on the part of a parent (or parents) of an individual with autism toward furthering the cause of autism, such as community awareness, advocacy, or another significant accomplishment. Conference registration and a cash award of $1,000 are given to the winner.
