Healing Complex Kids® was founded by parents who understand how overwhelming it can feel to raise a child with complex needs. We understand that when systems don’t connect, families are left to figure it out on their own.
We provide hope in the form of awareness—helping parents, educators, therapists, and medical providers understand that meaningful progress is possible. We come alongside families on their healing journey by offering clear, coordinated education and guidance so they can make informed decisions and regain stability.
From early childhood through young adulthood, Healing Complex Kids supports families with trusted tools like the Pathway to HOPE Resource Guide, on-demand education through the HOPE Talks Podcast: Conversations with Special Needs Families, and community initiatives that connect families to real help—not just information.
We help families set clear, realistic goals for the affected family member, ensure siblings are seen and heard, and support parents in accessing the guidance and support they need to strengthen the entire family.
We’ve lived this journey, and we know how hard it can be to keep moving forward some days. Looking back, we understand how much support matters—and we believe families deserve guidance that meets them where they are and helps them move forward.
We move families from surviving to thriving.
Julie and Dana Cadman co-founded Healing Complex Kids® after navigating their own family’s complex journey. Their lived experience, combined with years of advocacy, education, and community leadership, shapes everything HCK does—ensuring families receive guidance that is compassionate, practical, and grounded in real-world experience.
